Can't post using SSL addon?

Installed CPP (English v2.3) and the SSL addon, configured both to use Astraweb via SSL (ssl.astraweb.com, port 563) but the posting progress box appears then hangs for 2 minutes and crashes? This is using Win7 x64.

I've configured CPP correctly to use an SSL server and port 563, entered correct username/pass and installed SSL addon with same SSL details and pointed it to the CPP directory, but it just won't post? Posting through a non-SSL server is OK. Checked that the stunnel service was running and it is so can't figure out what the problem is? Any ideas please?

Problem solved! For SSL posts to go through the stunnel service the server address in CPP has to be set to 127.0.0.1 and port 119, it should NOT be set to your news providers address!! Stunnel should have the config for your SSL news server in the [nntps] section, for example:

[nntps]
accept = 119
connect = ssl.newsprovider.com:563

Once CPP and stunnel are configured as described then SSL posting will work!
